I post news items on occasion...  Check them out below.

Added some more photos - of Cameron, Brandon, Lydia, Regghie, Allan and Willard at Thanksgiving, 2008 to the Brandon & Cameron photo album.  Also added photos of Felisa's Thanksgiving 2008 makeover (in a new album).

Pretty interesting to see the changes in Brandon and Cameron in 3 short years.

Emily got to ride a horse on Thanksgiving Day!  Check her out over here.

Heather is nearly 11 years old!  She's spent yesterday and most of today with her maternal grandparents.

I'm in the thick of tax season again.  This time I've decided not to try and earn extra money by doing returns outside of work.  So far, so good, though I must admit I've disappointed some people.  I like being able to come home in the evening and not worry about doing more tax returns.    Also, my commute is a ton shorter which helps out.

Tax season is now over.  That feels pretty good.

March 31, 2007
Today is March 31st.  We've celebrated Valentine's Day, Mary Ann's birthday, my birthday, and will shortly be celebrating Heather's 10th birthday (on Monday).  Hard to believe I could be such a poor tax planner as to have three birthdays in my family during tax season.

We're really looking forward to Heather's roller skating party at a local skating rink.

Made the chat page password-protected so we could discuss a certain issue in privacy.

A gameday is planned at my house for January 20th, 2007.  All you computer gamers, be there with your best hardware or be SQUARE!     See details on the gamedays page.

Added some more pics of Heather and animals and the house.  Check out the new "Animals" photo album.  Also added two pictures of Joseph & Kim's new daughter, Mia Nicole.

I added some Halloween pictures (taken by Jessi) of us at Tyler and Jessi's party from last weekend.  I hope you enjoy them.

Emily just had Mary Ann call me at work.  When Emily got on the phone, she told me she had hurt her arm and then asked if I would "come here (home)."  I sure wish I could, but for some reason, that simple request really touched me.  I sure love my girls.

Just got to keep those balls in the air.

Mary Ann fell down on Saturday while we were walking to the LDS Conference Center in downtown Salt Lake City.  We were in the underground parking garage under Main Street walking toward an elevator when we failed to notice an elevation change.  I tripped and nearly fell, but Mary Ann was at a greater elevation change than I was and couldn't help but fall.

Her nose is pretty sore.  She's gotten more achy (everywhere, not just her nose) each day since the accident.  A trip to the ER on Saturday indicated she probably does not have a concussion.  I feel quite badly for her.

In other news, Sarah seems to be having a rough time of it in Georgia so far.  If anyone did not receive the e-mail she sent out, contact me for a copy.

This is how I feel about landlords who don't care for their properties.

The summer is nearly gone.  Michael helped me cut down some trees about two weeks ago.  I still can't believe they're gone.    Our place looks quite different minus the two trees.  Heather starts school Monday.  Life is rushing away.  I'll post pictures probably.

Sarah and Dale have a daughter together!  I think she was born on April 25th and I don't remember her name.  However, I did post several pictures of her today.  Enjoy!

Well, let's see.  I added a few pictures to the site yesterday.  Emily is now sleeping in her bottom bunk just fine and is out of the crib.  Emily is still not potty-trained!!!  Patience is a virtue.  :-)  Heather is doing fine at school and gets her chores done on occasion.  Mary Ann and I are looking forward to our trip to California at the end of this month.

Success!!!  Emily slept in the bottom bunk of the bunk bed last night and only (to my knowledge) got up once.  We've had to keep her in the crib until now because she'd keep getting up every 20 minutes if we tried to have her sleep in a "real" bed.  Hopefully, we'll be able to take the crib out of the bedroom at some point.  That would certainly free up lots of space!

Tax Season has begun in earnest.  The last couple of weeks have been quite stressful for Mary Ann and I (and of course, for the children, by extension).  Lots of work to get done, and never enough time to do it all seems to be the song of the season.

Felisa has been quite ill this week - upset stomach, no energy at all.  Cameron is flying in tonight.  Hopefully, his visit will be a good one.  :-)

Heather has been unable to go to the last couple "Friday Choosing's."  She has to get all her schoolwork done in a week in order to be allowed to attend.  She was quite sad last night when she told me the bad news.

Game Day was Saturday.  Thanks to all who participated.  I think it went well except for the fact that I was unable to play some of the games...  technical issues KILLED me!  I couldn't play Paintball on my machine because of my internet filter settings, I believe.  I was also unable to play Battlefield 1942 on either my machine or Heather's machine.  I am unsure as to what caused that problem, but guarantee it won't happen again.  (Famous last words).

Thanks again to all who participated.  I really enjoyed it.  Now I'm ready to take on taxes for three months.

A note on the children:  Heather went ice skating for the first time in her life the other day and did EXTREMELY well.  She fell right before they stopped and cried quite a bit, according to the Activity Day Leader, but skated very, very well for a first-timer.

Emily has been getting into bigger and bigger messes every day.  She got into lotion on Sunday (while I was supposed to be watching her).  She put shampoo on Mary Ann's computer keyboard yesterday and poured buckets of water onto the bathroom floor (she was supposed to be taking a bath).  She hasn't really shown much interest in using the toilet yet, to our chagrin.  Now that Christmas and New Year's are over, it's time to begin the toilet training in earnest!

UTA (Utah Transit Authority) is proposing to eliminate the bus routes near our home, which means I'll need to find a different way of getting to work.  They are adding a different bus route near our house, but I don't know if it will stop within walking distance or not.  I may need to either ride my bicycle to the train station or bum a ride with a neighbor.
