LOL. Yeah, Kate will harass you.

Our actual due date is February 23rd. To be fair to guessers, we've already been told that we will probably have her early due to some of the complications I've had. They definitely will NOT let me go overdue, so guessing AFTER the due date isn't going to do you any good, lol. But those are the only "clues" you get!

Hey, Jessi.

When is the actual due date?

I almost typed "deadline."  Better not let Katie see that...

Well, we're now in our 8th month. I figured it's a good time to get another guessing game going. If you'd like to guess when the baby will be born, how much she will weigh, etc., post away!

To keep it easier to read, here's a good format.

Date: Date you think the baby will be born
Time: Time of day she's born
Weight: Her weight
Length: Her length

In two weeks, we'll be in our 8th month. Just in time for Christmas! Still not sure where all the time is going, but holy crap, we're almost to the finish!

We bought Hailey her own gloworm while we were out Christmas shopping. Nate LOVES his, so we figured she should have one, too.
His is blue and hers is pink, so there shouldn't be a lot of confusion on whose is whose. It seems strange to be buying things for her, but it really won't be that much longer until she's here!

Learned something new today. Stress makes my sugar level go up noticeably.

Also, I have to try to remember to take my pill around the time I'm eating in the evening so that my sugar level stays even throughout the day. Otherwise, if I take it after dinner instead of before, I get high sugar and then a sugar drop...

It's kind of like a puzzle I'm learning to put together. Hoping it gets easier as time goes on.

I meet the gestational diabetes lady this afternoon. We're going to go over all of the stuff I need to know to make sure everything is good. She told me that my fasting number needs to be under 110 and my after meals should be under 120.

Fasting - 85
After Breakfast - 102

Yeah, I'm still thinking I don't have GD, and even the doctor is wondering about that... but "to be safe", I'm monitoring sugar in case a problem should arise. Just seems kind of "odd" that I've not had a single diabetic number, even pigging out on sugar.

So far, two hours after eating:

118 for lunch
114 for dinner

According to stuff online, that's good, but I don't really know. I'm supposed to meet with some diabetes lady this week or next week to have all of this explained and whatnot. Feeling frustrated that I don't know if my sugar levels are where they're supposed to be or not.

Anyway, at least I'm writing crap down like I'm supposed to.

Well, they "can't say for sure" I have GD, but want to treat me for it anyway. I'm thrilled. Definitely. They haven't even give MY doctor the results yet, so we're going on the stand-in doctor's opinion. Again, THRILLED.

I've been all sorts of irritated today because the stand-in doctor (my doctor broke her ankle) doesn't even know the difference between IR and diabetes. My test shows IR, not diabetes... And this woman tells me "at least you already have the testing meter". Um, NO, that's something for DIABETICS, which I am NOT, and I have already told her that, several times now.

Again, feeling REALLY confident that this woman knows what she's talking about... or NOT. Marlee won't be back until January.

Thanks. I know it runs in the family, which makes me higher risk... and I'm also higher risk by being insulin resistant. Statistics were bound to catch up to me eventually.

At this point, we don't know for sure if I have it. I find out on Monday. On the positive side, I think being poked 5 times in 48 hours is helping my fear of needles. Still not volunteering to poke myself more or anything, just to make that clear! LOL!

I'm trying to be positive and come to terms with things in case I DO have it. The test is done, there is nothing I can do to change the results. I just have to deal with whatever comes my way, and make the right choices to keep the baby healthy and safe.

Have to admit it irks me right off that I failed the test this pregnancy and not last time. I gained SO much with Nate and was ok, but I'm careful and doing what I'm supposed to this time and fail? It's like WTH?
  *sigh*

Don't be too upset Jess. That problem kind of runs in the family :(
As long as you do as your DR says you will both be fine..:)

Almost another month has gone by already. Our next prenatal checkup is only a week away. I can't believe how quickly things seem to be going.

My belly is getting HUGE these days. I'll be taking another picture next week sometime to compare to last month's. It's surreal to think that Nathan was born less than 11 weeks from this point. Only a few more days until we're down to double digits (less than 100 days left soon!!!).
