My 2 Cents:
Hey guys, Knut - included, I just wanted to say THANK YOU for the GM use on my behalf - or should I say my daughter Abbi's behalf. I got a high level druid that my daughter loves to "turn into a cat."
I would never brag about the level of my chars. because frankly I just don't play that much. I've started to get more interested tho because my daughter now says, lets play warcraft and let me turn into a cat. That allows me to play and still keep Abbi occupied. I LOVE IT!!!
For serious play, I know exactly which chars are fake (GM'd) and which ones I've worked hard on. My real chars I wouldn't let anyone GM because that ruins it, right?
I Really look forward to game day. I love heli's in battlefield as you all know - that's my highlight. But I have sworn to practice Slayer and a few others to get better. See you all there. I will bring some chips and very small prizes or water bottles.

I unleashed Cameron back on Tyler's WoW server. He had been unable to get WoW to work on his old computer, so hasn't been on in months. He's got a new computer now and it was working on WoW on Sunday when I went over to help them setup his new computer.
Also, Emily and Heather used WoW last night for the first time in quite a while. Perhaps WoW is undergoing a bit of a resurgence?

No, still planing on Game Day being the 8th, after work I will be in the mood to kill all of you (or most likely be killed)
My mom was thinking it would be fun to have dinner after, I don't know what she is planing on having but you are all welcome to stay after and eat

Just thinking, I start my new job on March 5th, and I legally have to work 24 hours a week so in order to go to Game day I have to work the 5th 6th and 7th , I am going to be so tired at game day

If someone "cheated", it is probably due to the lack of people on WoW. When you can't get a group together to do "something" (whatever your current goal happens to be) and it doesn't look like a group to do "something" is forthcoming anytime soon... the incentive to take a shortcut is huge.
Tyler's server is indeed unique. We get both the benefits and the shortcomings of a very, very "private" server. I've certainly used my Tyler-given gm powers in the past to circumvent shortcomings of the server. I've also worked my friggin' rear end off trying to level 'cause it was so dang fun and because I wanted to hang with Chris.
Everyone has different levels of commitment to playing WoW. My own level of commitment has varied quite a bit over time. The challenge is to keep the thing fun while accommodating those with different levels of commitment.
Here's the peacemaker in me coming out. Perhaps we could establish a council to moderate gm activity and punish those who circumvent the rules we establish? Up to now, the rules have pretty much been "anything goes, unless Tyler says 'No!'" What do you all think?

Awhile back there were some people asking about WoW and why people don't play anymore. After seeing some of you using your GMs to cheat (like two people did today, for example), what is the point in continuing to play? Seems like a waste of my time to bother leveling if other people are just going to use the "easy button".
I think it's crap to brag about your character when it was done with "help" from your GM...

Yes Guitar Hero is a lot of fun
I have been thinking of a game list, it is not finished yet but it is getting there, if there is a game you would like to play let me know

Yay! The controllers are guitars, so it's a lot of fun.
Less than three weeks until Game Day now. Any ideas on the game list or lunch menu?
For games, I'd like Battlefield and some CTF (I think that's UT and not HL, but I could be confused). And, of course, some Vampire slayer. Pretty much the usuals, I guess.
For food, I think subs and pizza would make a good combo. Anybody have any preferences on ham vs turkey, etc? We could go pretty basic on the subs - meat, cheese, lettuce, pickles, olives, mayo - to make sure there isn't much on them for people not to like. What do you think?

I think we will be able to move some tables around to get some room to play.
