I hate Age of Mythology, but Age of Empires I like. And I can promise you, Pete, it won't take hours to eliminate everyone .

I meant I did NOT want to play Age of Mythology this time around. It might have been a freudian slip about Age of Empires, though... I hear Jessi is pretty darn good at that game.

The Real Time Strategy games can be loads o' fun, but take so dang long to play (and won't allow more than 8 players) that I wasn't sure any of them would be a good fit this time 'round. Tyler has been on the prowl for an RTS or RPG that would allow more than 8 players and we may have found one.
Neverwinter Nights might be a last-minute addition to the game list.
Otherwise, I suppose we could try a (short) RTS game or two. I really don't want to do Age of Empires this time. I got sick of it last time we played. 'Tis not good to have so many resources that it takes hours to beat someone.

Um, Pete, those are pretty much all first person shooters. Can't we add something to mix it up? That much of first person stuff always makes me sick after more than an hour or two . Maybe we can throw in AOEII? Anyway, that is my take on the game list so far.

I'm ready for the frag fest. "To frag or not to frag? That is the question".

Thanks to all participants in the Uldaman raid. A few thoughts...
1) It will take many more than five characters to take on any of the bosses in there. 2) Having a priest and a mage along made a huge difference. Creatures went down much more quickly than they did with just Chris, Tyler and I. 3) A priest is a much better healer than a paladin. 4) Forming up as a raid party doesn't magically reduce difficulty in killing a boss. Thanks to all for participating in my illogical attempts to see if it would. 5) Once the server settled down, it was AWESOME adventuring in a five-person group. I look forward to doing it again. I couldn't get anything else done on Saturday because of the high I was on after getting off of WoW at noon. I was TRULY intoxicated.

Okay, all you folks who have characters somewhere between 35 and 45... Come join us in an expedition through Uldaman on Saturday, December 30th at 9:00 am. Uldaman is located just inside the entrance to Badlands from Loch Modan. It's a tough place, might be too tough for us.
So, you know the drill. Be there with your best gear and buffs and we'll go from 9-12. If we can't get it done in 3 hours, we'll have to try it again some other day.

Um, yeah....I didn't read the book because I was busy leveling.
I am still working on getting to level 35 (34 1/2 right now) so I can finally upgrade Alchemy and Tailoring to start getting skill points off them again. They are maxed right now and it sucks pretty hard. Yeah.
Looking for people to group with and go mass slaughter things to finish off that last half a level. If you'll be on tonight - 12/26 around 9:30 pm, come kill stuff with me or else.

I actually enjoyed reading that book. Not sure if anyone else has bothered, but if you have the time, why not? It's a good read, especially the surprise finish.

I finally found the page after killing more goblins and trolls. =) Pretty nice rewards for finishing the entire book. Quest is from Stranglethorn if anyone else wants to do it. The bartender in Darkshire sells most of the pages, too.

I made my Robe of Power today since i reached level 33 and could finally wear it. It's very robe-of-power-y. Yep. So thanks for the elementals, Pete .
My updated shopping list mainly consists of Green Hills of Stranglethorn - page 8. I have all of the other pages for that quest and have turned them into chapters. With that page I can get Chapter 1 and finish that quest. I've been killing tons of bloodscalp trolls, but no luck yet.
Anybody else need anything?

Sorry about the rash of gameday announcements. I'm just getting kind of excited and wanted to write about it.
We will have an internet connection available this time around. Because of that, Tyler is hoping to "hack my DSL modem" to allow Leesa Harvey to join in on the fun from her home in West Valley.
Speaking of the DSL modem, it's capable of broadcasting wireless signals. I don't remember the wireless speed, but if anyone wants to forego "plugging in," they could. I normally have it turned off because I don't want to feed someone else's need for internet connectivity. The other day I turned it on while a client was over, though... it worked just fine.

On a downer note... Adam has said he has to work that day.
On the other hand, I'm glad he's found a good job in his field. WTG, Adam!

James has said he's attending and that he would like to use a spare computer of mine. Not sure what the official count is up to, but it's climbing.
